Further to the fundamental principles of respect to human rights, employee rights, protection of environment and combating of corruption companies of Invalda Group steadily seeks enhancing public and social responsibility. With a view to acquiring an efficient vehicle to monitor relations between society and business community, and implement social initiative promotion programmes in 2007 Invalda AB established a public enterprise Iniciatyvos Fondas.

The activities of Iniciatyvos Fondas involve the organisation of different programmes designed to enhance knowledge and awareness. The priorities defined for the activities of the foundation may differ from year to year while maintaining its key principle - rather than supporting individual projects, initiate and implement larger-scale integrated projects designed to encourage individual target groups to take independent initiatives and actively contribute to the growth of the Lithuanian economy and the development of a responsible and sustainable society. The foundation Iniciatyvos Fondas seeks to implement different social initiatives promoting positive changes in the society.

In 2007, Iniciatyvos Fondas launched and implemented a youth initiative promotion program specifically targeting students of 5-12th grades of secondary schools. The principal target of the project was to trigger personal initiative of young people and promote them to seek disclosing and understanding most profound social, regional and community problems. The outcome of the projects included a number of written papers and drawings of schoolchildren demonstrating their initiative and capacities to address different challenges currently faced by Lithuania.

In 2008, the foundation Iniciatyvos Fondas in Alytus, Utena and Taurage regions implemented an initiative promotion programme Sugaukime rytoju 2008 (Catch the tomorrow - 2008). The programme was designed to promote personal and joint initiative and encourage its participants to independently address different social and environmental problems in specific locations. The participants of the programme were tasked to initiate, plan and implement social or environmental initiatives able to trigger changes and contribute to addressing the issue targeted by the participants. Results of the programme included a number of projects promoting solution of environmental and social issues and challenges, and public awareness.

In 2009, the foundation Iniciatyvos Fondas implemented a social initiative project Knyga - pazinimo dziaugsmas. Dalinkimes (Book - joy of knowledge. Let’s share it) aimed at collecting and presenting to Lithuanian libraries as many books as possible. The participants of the project collected nearly 6,400 books (77 percent of all books presented were in the Lithuanian language).

The objective of the social initiative of 2010 was to decorate by new trees territories of secondary schools and gymnasiums in Vilnius, promote the feeling of responsibility among young people (schoolchildren) and city communities, teach them to take care of nature and protect environment. The programme Sugaukime rytoju 2010 initiated by the foundation Iniciatyvos Fondas was joined by 20 educational institutions of Vilnius whose pupils planted total 550 new trees. Future plans include organisation of a number of other educational events.

In 2011 the goal of the programme I'll grow up active 2011, which was run by Iniciatyvos Fondas, was to draw attention to the importance of physical activity among young people. The programme aimed to shed the light on the lack of physical activity and its consequences, as well as encourage young people to change their passive lifestyle into an active and healthy one. With the cooperation of Lithuania's, a collective exercise was set to take place simultaneously in all the educational institutions on October 21st, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. More than 116 thousand participants from 700 preschools and comprehensive schools joined the exercise.
